Take that pregnancy!

I think that I've finally reached the awesome part of my pregnancy! I feel SOOOO good today! I haven't been really nauseous for a few weeks and I haven't had a headache for three days! (I was getting these really bad headaches that almost made me sick this last week. They were awful; but I'm hoping they are gone!) I even exercised today! I wanted to go jogging but the weather wasn't that great and I worried that it was going to rain. But I went walking on the treadmill. It felt super good to start exercising again! And I haven't had that annoying exhausting tired feeling at all today even with exercising. GREAT DAY!
And thanks for the advice on not feeling guilty about sleeping all the time! Everyone I talked to said I just need to enjoy it. Especially the veteran mommies. A gal I work with said I better enjoy it cause some day I'm going to have another kid and won't be able to sleep all day. I think that' gotta be my biggest complaint. The only way I can explain the tired feeling is that it felt like I had the flu without having the flu. It doesn't make sense, and hubby's don't get it, but it's all I could think to describe it. But I think it's finally going away!
So my only complaint today is that I feel fat! And I can totally deal with that. It's a little crummy cause I don't quite look pregnant (my mom told me I look "thick" real nice eh? haha) but I can't wait to look pregnant and feel our baby kick and move! So I've decided that I can look fat and just hope that soon I'll start looking more pregnant and not just like I have a spare tire haha.
But I'm about 16 weeks so I took another picture! It looks about the same as my 12 week picture, even though I feel a lot bigger. And my next appointment is next Thursday! We are very much hoping that the baby cooperates so we can find out what we are having! I still have a feeling that it's a girl but one more week and hopefully we will know! Super excited! I'll keep everyone posted!

16 weeks!

HALLOWEEN!

Soooo excited for Halloween! October is the best month EVER! It leads to great things: My birthday, then Halloween, my anniversary, Thanksgiving and then Christmas and New Years! October is the gateway to the holidays in my opinion! I also love that the weather is getting cooler! I love fall weather and the fact that it's been so hot has been killing me! I'm ready for sweaters and long sleeved shirts! Especially now that I'm getting fatter haha. So Halloween this year is going to be awesome! Derrick is going to be a devil and I'm going to be an angel! A pregnant angel nonetheless haha! I hope I look a little more pregnant so that it will be funny.

slump

So, I am officially acknowledging the fact that I am in a slump. And it is TERRIBLE! I need some motivation big time. I never want to work; I always hope to get called off. I never want to clean my house or cook or do ANYTHING! I am reaching out for some serious help! I know it isn't too bad right now but soon I will have another life form living with me and I can't handle having my child growing up in a disaster house with a lazy mom who doesn't cook. And the not wanting to work ever is getting ridiculous too, because we really need the money right now. But if I get the choice to work or get called off, I always take the call-off! Which is stupid, because I don't do anything at home anyways!
So help me out friends! Give me some motivation! I keep thinking that maybe it's just being pregnant and because I'm tired so much, but I haven't wanted to go to work ever since I went to full-time. And I'm at the beginning of my second trimester so supposedly the tiredness is supposed to stop? So I don't know what to blame it on. I should just own up to my laziness and get over it!

I'M PREGNANT!! Yes, it's true, Derrick and I are having a baby! I am about 13 weeks along now (aren't we good at keeping secrets!?). My due date is March 25th. We are super excited! My next appointment is in October and hopefully we will find out if it is a boy or a girl! Any bets? We both kinda want a boy, but I have a feeling it's a girl. Derrick has a feeling it's a boy, so it could go either way!

Everything has been great so far. We have had two ultrasounds and the second one it looked like an actual little baby! The first it just looked like a gummy bear, which is what we've now nicknamed the baby ha. I did have some bleeding and went to the doctor again this week because I was freaking out, but the baby was fine; moving around like crazy and kicking it's legs!

So it's almost the middle of September and I'm FINALLY putting my summer pictures up! It was a crazy busy summer, but sooo much fun! They are kinda backwards though, starting from most recent to least; I still haven't figured out this whole blogging thing!

So there are my promised pictures. I wish I could put more up, but there are just too many! This summer was such a blast. Both Derrick and I had no school and we did a ton of fun things.

too long!

It has been way too long since I have posted anything!! So here is a quick little blurb...

1. I went to NYC with my mom and it was AWESOME! (pictures soon to come!) we shopped a LOT, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, went to Times Square, saw a Broadway musical, were on tv for Regis and Kelly, and basically had a blast.

2. I ran the Ogden half marathon and contrary to belief right before-hand I did it in less than 3 hours!! the last time I ran it, I did it in 2 hours and 19 minutes and I had trained pretty ok for it. But this time...not so much. But, once again, I finished in 2 hours and 19 minutes!! woo hoo. my mom ran the 5k and she beat her time by 3 or 4 minutes! go mom!

3. Derrick took his DAT and got a 20!!!! He said that an 18 is a "competative" score so he did AMAZING! I'm so proud of my man! Just a couple more weeks than applications open up and dental school, somewhere/anywhere, USA here we come!

4. We got to go the the SLC temple with our couple friends the Dubose family, Casey and Noah this last weekend and that was fun to catch up. We met a family that were from England and their son is going on a mission to West Virginia (Derrick thought I was weird cause I went up to them in the temple and asked where they were from-I heard their accent and like to meet new people! it's not a crime!) . Then we went to the Hong Kong tea house and ate awesome chinese food. Squid is my new favorite! yummy
